Getting There

Lollapalooza Main Entrance

Grant Park in downtown Chicago is the annual host of Lollapalooza. The Main Entrance to the festival grounds, expanded this year to get you to the action even faster, will be on Columbus Drive at the intersection of Congress Avenue (right in front of Buckingham Fountain). Your Lolla ticket also gets you into the additional north entrance at Columbus and Monroe. Take a look-see at the 2009 Lolla Map to get oriented.

Getting To The Park

How do a trillion people get to Lolla at the same time, quickly, cheaply and in an environmentally-kind way? Take public transportation, ride your bike, and carpool. Here’s the lowdown:

Public Transportation

he Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) has got you covered. With train and bus routes to Grant Park, throughout the city and to both major airports, CTA is clearly the way. Map out your route on CTA or click here to buy a CTA visitor pass (the best value!)

Traveling from the suburbs? Metra’s commuter rail system makes it easy. Click here for the scoop on riding Metra to and from Lolla and to see a map of nearby Metra stations.

Ride Your Bike

Peddle down to Lolla! Bike racks are available next to the Lolla Box Office on Columbus Drive between Congress and Balbo. You must provide your own lock. The City of Chicago also provides free, secure bike parking at the McDonald’s Cycle Center in Millennium Park.

Rent a Bike

As a special offer just for Lollapalooza attendees, our friends at Bike and Roll Chicago are giving discounts on bike rentals, guided bike tours, and Segway tours. Taxis

Grab a cab and get dropped off on Michigan Avenue at Congress. Then head over to the Box Office and into Lollapalooza.

Carpool, Then Park
