Off Perry Farrell's fansite. This quote is a segment from an interview with Etty Farrell (Perry's wife)

Mike: I guess I can ask you this. I know nothings been announced yet other than the dates. Is there anything that you can share with me as far as possible bands for Lolla at this point?

Etty: We have a lot of close to confirmations but nothing 100% confirmed.

Mike: OK.

Etty: So I don’t want to throw it out there in case it doesn’t work out. But I can tell you that there will be a lot more Hip Hop.

Mike: OK.

Etty: I could give you a hint. Somebody that we almost 100% will have is a Hip Hop artist that has a reality show right now.

Mike: Hum?

Etty: You’re like which one? (Laughing)

Mike: (Laughing) I know. I gotta think on that one. I don’t think I’ll be able to guess it.

Etty: It’s a little (inaudible) he has a reality show I think on E.

Mike: OK.

Etty: And he’s done well in the past.

Mike: Hum? Once we get done with this interview I’m going to have to rewind this and listen to all these clues again and see if I can figure this out.

311 and Snoop Dogg are supposed to be touring together this summer. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see both end up showing up.

If Snoop Dog OR Public Enemy show up at lolla I most likely will not. Thats assuming theres no Rage.

But Snoop's FatherHood is on the E! channel, so I guess that pretty much implies it will be Snoop Dogg. Ehh... not too excited for this bit of news. One or two hip-hop/rap artists is okay, but hopefully not too many. I would love to see CRS though.

Snoop's playing Bamboozle in NJ too. That, combined with the 311 tour, makes this conceivable.

That's like an 0 for 4 if all the artists from that tour come to Lolla, though. 311? No thanks. Snoop? No thanks. The Bravery? No thanks. Fiction Plane? Big no thanks.

I'm with you, a big no thanks for any of those hip hop acts. the only hip hop I'd like to see would be like Jay Z, or CRS

If the 311 snoop tour does stop at Lolla, where/when do you think they will play?

I think 311 would definitely be a headliner (like it or not). As for snoop, he could really go either way. I would guess it will either be 311 on the AT&T stage with Snoop headlining the Bud stage, or Snoop play on the AT&T stage right before 311... with someone else headlining the bud light stage.

Does anyone else think it would be really really stupid if two huge names that are touring together both played Lolla, when they would otherwise be playing a separate Chicago show anyway? I don't know quite how to word why this is really stupid... but it just seems... stupid. I don't like it.

And it doesn't help that I strongly dislike both 311 and Snoop Dogg.

is 311 really big enough to headline...let alone at&t. someone convince me there bigger then interpol (the weakest of headliners)

Which act would headline at Lolla?
Would it be possible that this is our 5th headliner (Snoop Dog?)
Or is 311 the headliner and Snoop Dog an opener?
Does this give us Rage vs. Kanye or Snoop
And NIN vs. Kanye or Snoop
with Radiohead on Sunday, and Wilco headlining Bud Light?

Or is there only going to be one hip hop headliner and kanye is not coming?

And Zach, they're bigger than Interpol. When Interpol came to Cincinnati, they headlined at a club that fit about 1000 people. 311 headlined (and sold out) an ampitheater that fits about 7500. They have a much larger fanbase.
